What it is

The Silent Night Stack is two DriveOn® sleep devices sold together: the SoniRest anti-snoring mouthpiece and the ColdLock migraine cap. Neither one contains medication. How it works

Two different failures, two different mechanisms

Snoring is a geometry problem. As sleep deepens, the jaw and tongue slacken, the jaw drifts back, and the airway narrows to a slit. Air speeds up through the gap, the soft tissue around it flutters, and that flutter is the noise. SoniRest is a boil-and-bite tray that holds the lower jaw roughly three millimetres forward of where it collapses to, keeping the airway at its open width so the tissue never starts vibrating.

Head pain is a different night. The usual failure there is the thaw gap: a gel pack goes lukewarm long before the attack is over, so you get up, into the light, and walk to the freezer again. ColdLock is built around a dense phase-change gel that releases its cold at a steadier temperature instead of dumping it in the first few minutes, held in a 360° fit that keeps contact around the temples, sinuses and base of the skull while you lie down.

One protects breathing all night. The other covers the night when breathing was never the problem. They do not overlap, so on a bad night you can wear both.

How to use it

1. Fit the mouthpiece once — about two minutes. Soften the SoniRest tray in hot water for roughly 30 seconds, bite down to mould it, then cool it. Set the advancement to the lowest comfortable step.
2. Stage the cap — ongoing. Keep the ColdLock cap in the fridge or freezer so it is cold before you need it. No freezer is required to start.
3. Run the night — nightly. Wear the mouthpiece as standard. If a migraine starts, pull the cap on, slide the eye panel down for full dark, and lie still. Rinse the mouthpiece in the morning and cap it in its case.

Who this is NOT for

Skip this if you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, or suspect it. A mouthpiece that quiets the sound of a breathing problem is the last thing you want — that belongs with a physician. Do not use SoniRest with dentures, loose teeth, recent dental work, or ongoing jaw and TMJ pain without asking your dentist first. On the ColdLock side, skip it if cold makes your head worse, which is true for some people, or if you have Raynaud’s, cold urticaria, reduced skin sensation or nerve damage in the scalp or face. Neither device is medicine, neither diagnoses or treats anything, and neither replaces care you have been prescribed. And if only one of the two problems is yours, buy that one product on its own — the stack only makes sense if both nights are familiar.

Common Questions

Can I use both at the same time?

Yes. The mouthpiece sits inside the mouth and the cap sits over the head and eyes, so they do not interfere. On a migraine night you can wear both together and still have the airway held open.

Is either item a drug?

No. SoniRest is a mechanical jaw-position device and ColdLock is cold therapy. There is nothing to swallow, absorb or build a tolerance to, and neither is intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition.

How long does the mouthpiece take to get used to?

Expect a few nights. Mild jaw awareness and extra saliva in the first week are normal and usually settle. Starting at the lowest advancement step makes that week considerably easier.

Does the cap need a freezer?

No. A fridge-chilled cap is ready to use; a freezer simply gets it colder to begin with. What matters is that it is already cold when the attack starts, so keep it stored rather than chilling it on demand.

Why buy the two together instead of one?

Only because both nights happen to you. If you snore and also lose nights to head pain, the stack covers the whole night for $9.95 less than buying the two separately. If only one applies, buy that one.
