What it is

FlexReach is a two-piece laundry cleaning kit: a flexible vacuum hose attachment that fits onto your existing vacuum nozzle, and a long, slim bristle brush on a wooden handle. One sucks the lint out, the other drags it loose first. Between them they get into the lint-trap housing, the gap behind and under the dryer, and the narrow runs beside the machines.

How it works

The lint screen catches the easy stuff. What builds up is everything that gets past it — packed into the trap housing below the screen and into the vent gap behind the machine, in a slot that's too deep for fingers and too narrow for a normal vacuum head.

The brush is long, thin and stiff enough to break that packed layer loose from the walls of the slot. The hose is flexible enough to bend down into it and narrow enough to fit, so instead of pushing lint further in, you pull it out into your vacuum. Loosen, then extract. That's the whole method.

How to use it

1. Switch off and pull the screen (1 minute). Unplug the dryer, take the lint screen out and set it aside.
2. Brush the slot (2 minutes). Feed the bristle brush down into the trap housing and twist as you draw it back out. Repeat until it comes up clean.
3. Vacuum it out (3 minutes). Fit the flexible hose onto your vacuum nozzle, run it down the same slot and along the gap behind and under the dryer. Put the screen back.

Who this is NOT for

This is a reach-and-extract kit for the areas you can get to yourself: the lint-trap housing, the gaps around the machine, and the first stretch of ducting. It is not a full duct-cleaning service and it will not clear a long, blocked run of ducting inside a wall or a roof — for that you want a professional. You also need a working vacuum; the hose is an attachment, not a vacuum. And if your dryer is already overheating, taking hours to dry, or smells hot, stop using it and call someone qualified rather than reaching for a brush.

Will the hose fit my vacuum?

It's sized for a standard vacuum nozzle and is flexible enough to work with most household canister and upright machines. If yours has an unusual proprietary fitting, check the nozzle diameter before ordering.

How often should I do this?

The screen comes out every load; this deeper clean is a once-every-few-months job for most households, and more often if you dry bedding, towels or pet blankets regularly.

Does the brush scratch anything?

It's a bristle brush on a wooden handle, meant to be worked into the metal or plastic trap housing. Use it in the slot and the gaps, not on the drum interior or a painted front panel.

Can I use it on other things?

Yes — the same combination works for the gap between the washer and dryer, under kitchen appliances, and behind furniture. Anywhere the problem is that the space is narrower than your vacuum head.

What's the difference between the 1, 2 and 3 kit options?

Nothing but quantity. Each kit is the same hose plus brush; the multi-packs exist for people doing two homes, keeping one at a rental, or splitting them with family.
